“Vitaly’s Van” Fund COMPLETE!

After two and a half months of prayer and publicizing the need, Vitaly is going to get his much-needed ministry van! (Vitaly was my Kyiv Seminary co-minister who currently serves as an army chaplain during Ukraine’s defense against Russia.)
 
Soon he will be back to providing food, clothes, bandages, Bibles and – most importantly – his personal witness to people in harm’s way who need the Lord Jesus.
 
We didn’t reach our goal of raising $10,000 for an older used van. But after we, (that “we” includes you), raised and sent over $6,000, other believers joined in for an amazing total of $21,000. That is real teamwork.
 
Now Vitaly is able to purchase a newer, more reliable, used van. I look forward to showing you a picture of him standing in front of it – maybe full of vital supplies for the front lines.

Our ESL Students Are “Getting” the Gospel

After eight weeks with a new group of ESL* students, I can see them getting much closer to understanding the Gospel.
 
Last Thursday we were studying John 3:16-21 and they began to understand God’s actions – He gave His only Son for their sins; God’s motive – He loves all people; and God’s requirement – surrender their lives to Jesus.
 
What a joy it was to see my South Korean student drop his “Yeah, I’ve heard all that before” expression and listen intently. My Mexican student took notes on her Bible handout sheet. The Argentinean, Chinese, Japanese and Colombian students were more attentive than usual.
 
Similarly, two of Cheri’s ESL students have recently joined her Tuesday Bible study group to learn more about Jesus Christ!
 
Please pray with us that several of our students will receive Christ during this school year and demonstrate their faith publicly.
