Hurray! Our visas for Ukraine arrived with three weeks to spare before we return to Kiev. (See attached photo.) This is a big answer to prayer, so please praise the Lord with us! Even though we were only granted eleven-month visas, we are very grateful. As you may remember, our 5-year visa was rendered useless by a new Ukrainian law regulating cultural visas. We are also grateful to God because in the past we have only been given six-month religious visas.
In related news, on August 4th Cheri and I will move into a Kiev apartment we’ve not lived in before. That same week I will represent our World Missions department at a youth conference where I will try to recruit more students into our “army of Eastern European missionaries.”
I start teaching mission courses at the seminary on August 30th. That day marks the beginning of a busy new school year that will include leading several three-day conferences.
We know that these efforts will only bear fruit if the Lord is in them. We are depending on you to bring us before the Father. Please keep praying for us and we will keep you posted as news develops.
Warmly,
Rich and Cheri
