Strahms Update (July, 2010) Productive 6 Months

Praise God for a Productive 6 Months in the USA (July 2010)
This has been a very fruitful “Home Assignment” for the Strahms:
1. We reported on our ministry progress to eight supporting churches, and individual supporters.
2. Rich completed ENI’s annual 16-page, “990” report for the IRS.  (This is a non-profit’s version of the 1040 form.)
3. Rich finished getting our new website online.
4. We produced two new videos for the website.
5. The Lord gave us three additional volunteers for our support team in the USA: a webmaster, an event planner, and a coordinator for the “Pastors Library” program.
6. We recruited two new guest professors to teach with us in Kiev.
7. Rich briefed the Oregon team that will speak at our fall conference in Ukraine.
8. Thanks to donors, we were able to purchase a much-needed video projector for the classroom, and logo shirts for our missions students.
9. We have one more event before returning to Kiev, a benefit banquet in The Dalles, Oregon which will help our ministry in months ahead.
A Birthday, a Graduation and an Anniversary
It was a joy to be in the USA to celebrate several family events. We got to spend a long weekend with our daughter, Kelli, and her dear family in Pennsylvania.
We celebrated our grand-daughter’s third birthday with gifts and hugs.
Two days later we were proud to attend our son-in-law, Tim’s graduation from Biblical Theological Seminary.
On June 29th Cheri and I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary.  Oh, how the years go by!
PLEASE PRAY!
Pray that we will be granted a “religious visa” to Ukraine by Aug. 1st.  The decision, and our passports, are now in the hands of the Ukrainian consulate.
Pray for at least 7 new students to enroll this fall in our World Missions program at the seminary.
Pray that our “Mission 1000” banquet on July 23rd in Oregon will produce additional team-mates for our   leadership training programs in Eastern Europe.
Thank you,
Rich & Cheri
