Top Ten Highlights of 2009
Looking back over the year we can see how the Lord’s hand has been at work. Here are ten of the most significant steps toward our God-given task:
1. Introduced the Muslim Studies course to the Kiev Theological Seminary (KTS) curriculum and held the first class in March2. Lead two more ENI-sponsored Great Commission conferences and spoke at four other missions conferences in Ukraine
3. Became Kiev distributors in Kiev of Central Asian Russian Scriptures (CARS), which are Muslim-friendly Bibles in Russian
4. Taught at the KTS Womens’ Leadership Conference (Cheri)
5. Spoke at European Evangelical Mission Alliance (EEMA) meetings in Hungary, urging Eastern European church leaders to strategically promote world missions
6.Wrote “Faith Promise” brochure and had it translated into Russian to
inspire and instruct local churches how to organize their missions
programs (Rich and Cheri)
7. Added full-time students to our World Missions program who are enthusiastic about spreading the gospel in places like China and Africa.
8. Taught courses at the seminary and at Vinnitsa Bible College, including Cultural Anthropology, Introduction to Missions and Hermeneutics.
9. Preached World Missions messages at Good Harbor church, Kiev throughout the year (Rich)
10. Mentored Daniel (a Muslim-background believer) and other students in our home (Rich and Cheri)
Top Prayer Requests for 2010
1. Hold at least two more Great Commission conferences in Ukraine
2. Increase the number of World Missions students in our program
3. Recruit a full-time assistant director/professor for the growing World Missions department at KTS
4. Raise funds for the KTS classroom remodeling project (our part is $10,000)
5. Place 40 library sets for deserving pastors and students
6. Bring our personal missionary salary support to 100%
