“Transforming our world”
Our Ukrainian mission students at Kiev Theological Seminary, because of their location in Eastern Europe, have few opportunities to see the “big picture” of world missions or to interact with other mission-minded young believers.
But now, there is a growing movement in Europe called “Mission-Net.” Begun under the leadership of the European Evangelical Alliance, Mission-Net is for Christian European youth aged 16-30 who are interested in missional lifestyle and ministry.
Much like the famous Urbana conferences in America which have produced thousands of missionaries, Mission-Net offers a bi-annual congress to inspire these young believers. (http://mission-net.org/congress). Next month, the third such congress will be held in Offenburg, Germany, with over 3,000 youth expected to attend. Our Ukrainian students have been invited!
Mission-Net will encourage these young people toward cross-cultural service, present current methods of evangelism, and enable them to meet prospective senders. I am encouraging some of our top mission students to attend Mission-Net this year. Several wish to go, but they need your help with tuition and travel expenses.
Current needs:
Tuition (after Eastern European discount): $ 160 each
Round-trip travel from Ukraine to Germany: $350 each
Students will pay for their local transportation and meals
My goal is to raise at least $1,530 ($510 each) so we can help at least three of our students attend
Deadline: We need to receive your donation by November 31st, 2013
