Pastor Volodiya (pictured with his family) is one of my heroes. He lives in Burshtin, Ukraine where he planted a church a few years ago. He loves the Lord and truly has a burden for the lost. He produces and hosts a weekly TV program called “Mir Vam” (Peace to You) on a local station. Each program is also available on the internet.
I first met Volodiya when he volunteered to host a Missions Awareness Conference last December. He is one of the few pastors in Ukraine who is actively promoting world missions.
I appeared on two of his programs last April (2013) and preached the gospel using an interview format. Watch the videos if you like. My part is in English, but the rest is in Ukrainian. They are about 30 minutes each. (See links and message summaries below)
I learned valuable principle from Volodiya: that pastors who are passionate about local evangelism are often passionate about world evangelism as well.

“Importance of Forgiveness”
1. If we are unforgiving, we place ourselves in physical and psychological danger.
2. Jesus is our perfect model of forgiveness.
3. Unless we seek God’s forgiveness, we are in spiritual danger.

“False expectations about Good Friday”
1. The people who shouted “Hosanna! Hosanna!” were eventually disappointed that Jesus didn’t rule as a king and dispel the Romans from Israel.
2. People who only seek material blessings from Jesus may also be disappointed.
3. Salvation and eternal life are far greater blessings.
