Daily Prayer Guide – Armenia, 2018

Daily Prayer Guide

If you’d like to pray for us during this conference trip, I’ve listed a description of each day’s events and a prayer request. Thanks!

Sunday, October 14th  Cheri and I will depart from Charlotte, NC, for Yerevan, Armenia with plane changes in Atlanta and Paris. Please pray for our health and safety as we fly and that we’ll make all our connecting flights.

Monday, October 15th  After being in the air for 19 hours, we’ll arrive in Yerevan, Armenia at 8:25 pm. Please pray that all five of our bags arrive with us. (There’s one for us both, and FOUR for the conference).

Tuesday, October 16th  We’ll assemble our team and have dinner with our Armenian hosts. Please pray for restorative rest from our travel, and good communication with our teammates.

Wednesday, October 17th  We’ll travel by land up to the mountain retreat center, where we’ll prepare the meeting rooms and sound equipment. Please pray that the Lord will keep us safe on the roads, and that we can get everything ready for the first day of the conference.

Thursday, October 18th  The conference will begin–hurrah! Please pray that all 50-plus couples will arrive and be able to relax a little from their demanding ministries. Also pray that they will hear the Lord’s voice.

Friday, October 19th  We’ll continue teaching the pastors and their wives skills they can use in ministry. Please pray that they will be open to new ways of growing God’s kingdom.  On this night, we’ll provide a special banquet for these dear couples.
Saturday, October 20th  On our last conference day, we’ll challenge the pastors and wives to use what the Lord has taught them. Please pray that each attendee will commit to: 1) continuing their spiritual growth; and, 2) passing on what they’ve learned.

Sunday, October 21st  I will preach in a local Armenian church and Cheri will be mentoring women. Please pray that our ministry will bear fruit.

Monday, October 22nd  We’ll have our team debriefing, in which we evaluate the conference. Please pray for good interaction and that we’ll come up with helpful ideas for our next conference.

Tuesday, October 23rd  We’ll relax a little and make preparations for our flight home. We may visit a national monument near Yerevan. Please pray that we will be truly rested and ready to travel home.

Wednesday, October 24th  Cheri and I depart from Armenia at 9:00 am and arrive in Charlotte at 9:51 pm. (With the eight-hour time difference, that will stretch into a 21-hour flight.)

Thursday, October 25th  Please pray that Cheri will be rested enough to teach her “English as a Second Language” classes first thing Thursday morning.
Thanks for praying. We want the Lord to equip and encourage these dear co-workers for His glory!

Warmly,
Rich and Cheri
